Hello and welcome to our page!
We are Domante and Martynas - screenwriters from Vilnius, Lithuania. You may have noticed our red messy heads curiously wondering around in European Film and TV markets or heard us nervously pitching our ideas on big stages. Together, we've been cooking ideas in our kitchen and developing them at various international training schemes since 2013. We share a mutual passion for screenwriting and science, so we're constantly challenging each other with all kinds of "what if" questions. That's how most of our ideas are born.
Straight from the oven, we're taking our ideas to the markets - we were selected to pitch our projects at Content London 2019 (C21 TV Drama Script competition), MIA TV Drama Series Pitching Forum 2018, Gothenburg TV Drama Vision 2018 , Seriencamp 2017, Series Mania Co-production Market 2017 (part of Torino Serieslab programme), Sitges Pitchbox 2016, and Frontieres International Co-production Market 2015. Together, we have improved our craft at Torino Serieslab 2017. Martynas also participated at Midpoint TV Launch TV Development Executive Training 2019, while Domante also attended Sundance Screenwriters Workshop 2015, Berlinale Talents 2015, Closing the Gap 2014, Baltic POWR Stories Exchange 2013, and Digital Production Challenge 2012. Our TV projects were shortlisted for the 2nd round of Sundance Episodic Lab in 2018 and in 2019. Our feature film script was among the top 10% at Nicholl Academy Screenwriters Fellowship in 2017. When we're not writing, we're working as script readers for various competitions and initiatives. This year we evaluated many TV and feature film projects: Martynas worked as a reader for Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. Domante worked as an expert for European Commission MEDIA Development programme. She was also part of the selection committee for Torino Serieslab 2018 and 2019. When our brains need a break from writing, our curiosity drives us to other places. Martynas' brains are wired for math. He obtained a BA degree in Mathematics and has some corporate experience - he worked as a Business Analyst for Western Union (2014-2017). Domante is involved in audiovisual education - she is a co-founder and one of the organizers of educational training schemes for the art department - Art Department Masterclass and Art Department Workshops. She is also working as a lecturer at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. Long story short - when the inspiration comes, it always finds us working! |
